El t\u00edtulo hab\u00eda ofendido a algunos sectores de la sociedad que evitaron se escuchara la canci\u00f3n, convirti\u00e9ndola as\u00ed en uno de los sencillos menos populares en la carrera de <strong>John Lennon<\/strong> y de <strong>Yoko Ono<\/strong>. La pol\u00e9mica debi\u00f3 causarse m\u00e1s que por la envoltura, por la denuncia misma de la situaci\u00f3n que contin\u00faa prevaleciendo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Lennon<\/strong>, en entrevista para \u00abThe Dick Cavett Show\u00bb en 1972, sumaba para el mejor entendimiento de su tema, que el revolucionario irland\u00e9s <strong>James Connolly<\/strong> hab\u00eda sido una inspiraci\u00f3n con su frase: \u00abla mujer trabajadora es la esclava del esclavo\u00bb. Con esta idea, Lennon refirmaba el mensaje feminista de la canci\u00f3n que hab\u00eda lanzado junto con su esposa.<\/p>\n<p>Cantante, compositora, actriz, productora y autora, <strong>Sharnette Hyter<\/strong> es la responsable de la versi\u00f3n del tema de Lennon y Ono con el que cierro hoy las columnas musicales dedicadas a las mujeres.
